We first met Adam through our friend Tom Sachs.
Marcos was getting ready to go kitesurfing when Adam showed up at our studio. He had an idea for a bag--not just any bag, but the perfect everyday carry. We loved the idea, but it was a tricky design challenge. It needed to work in the workshop and in the office and on the street; it needed to organize tools and lunch and pens and passports. We had materials we thought might work but we needed time and testing to get it right. Things progressed slowly, until one night Marcos and Adam decided to just go all in. Our whole team focused on creating the first sample. And when it was done, we all loved it. Adam loved it, too.
Here's Adam on the basics of the EDC One:
“I kept it simple, focusing on access to contents and durability. The color is chosen because I love NASA, but more importantly because all other tool bags are dark and that is wrong: I’ve spent too long not being able to find things at the bottom of my toolbags. This ends now.”
The first two runs are sold out but you can get yours by January 2018 here
